Centenary House, Worthing

WSCC appointed GJAL to advise on the replacement of 2No six stop traction lifts at this key administration centre. Project budget was £160,000. Prior to our appointment both lifts had suffered serious controls failures and were both inoperable. The project was therefore ‘fast tracked’ and negotiated with a single contractor.  
 
The original winding gears were both retained, but new AC motors fitted. Micro-processor controls were fitted. Shaft components were re-wired and replaced.  
 
Car and landing doors were retained but overhauled with new VF motor drives fitted. Car interiors were completely refurbished. All works were completed within the agreed 11 week program.
