WSCC appointed GJAL as Lead Consultant Engineer on this office re-fit as a high occupancy density Call Centre. To achieve an energy efficient design solution which sustainability improves on ADL2B of the Building Regulations the following works were integrated into the project;  
 
False ceiling (previously an exposed roof, reduce volume to heat/cool plus improve thermal characteristics)  
Obscuration of roof lights (reduction of solar gains)  
Active Chilled beam cooling system  
New High efficiency lighting with daylight override control to perimeter areas and automatic diming to internal zones, by centrally programmed lighting control system  
Condensing boilers  
New integrated control system  
Variable Speed drivers to fans and pumps  
Humidity Control  
Reconfiguration of existing UPS System power distribution  
New underfloor small power distribution  
Upgrade to fire alarm and smoke detection systems  
Sealing of LV Switchroom/UPS Room and the provision of cooling by recovered split units  
Supplementary IT/Voice/Data Systems including the integration of Audio Visual Systems
